The Corpus Christi Foundation is beginning a new season of reflection and gratitude with a theme of Planting Seeds for the Future. Every act of faith—every prayer, every gift, every commitment to stewardship – plants a seed that helps our parishes and our Catholic school grow strong and remain rooted in Christ. The seeds nurtured today become a lasting gift for generations to come.
In the year ahead, we invite you to reflect with us on the seeds being planted through faith, learning, community, and legacy—and the beautiful growth God brings from them. Together, we are growing something lasting. Together, we are planting seeds for the future.
Reflections on this theme from our Catholic community include:
“We choose to support the Corpus Christi Foundation because, having lived here my whole life, I’m happy to see the growth of the Catholic community and that growth indicates a need for more ministries to help members learn, live, and love their Catholic faith. I know we have limited resources to share but I feel strongly that if we all do our part and contribute to the Foundation, we can make a difference in the community and beyond.” – Foundation Donor
“My Catholic education was basic to a successful and, more importantly, happy life of work, family, and worship.” – Louis Schulist
“The foundation has and will continue to provide financial support to keep tuition affordable and provide resources for other related needs and endeavors. Godspeed to the continued success of the school and the foundation that supports it. I will always be proud of what we built together on that one-time cornfield.” – Mitri Zainea, Founding CCCS Principal
“Choosing to plant seeds in our community is a purposeful commitment in our life. We are chosen by God to be fruitful. Seeking and growing in faith by way of practicing and preserving our Catholic traditions nurtures us, our families, and our community. Corpus Christi Foundation strengthens and supports the treasure we share in our faith by seeing Christ and being Christ to all. It is our prayer that by working and praying together, God’s plan for us may be fruitful in all we do today and for future generations. We have our beloved passed family members to thank for choosing to nurture us in God’s goodness and we are hoping to impact our children and grandchildren in the same. Catholic school education through day school and programs in our parishes, along with regular Mass attendance, allows for growth in faith and dependence on God as we journey through life. If we “practice”… the “preserving” of our faith hopefully will naturally follow. That is our prayer.” – Foundation Donor
“It is my goal to share my experiences and talent with the foundation to nourish the faith of the children in the Holland/Zeeland community. The seeds of faith are planted in our children when they are baptized, we need to nourish these seeds and support the Catholic education that incorporates the sacraments, prayer, education and service into our students’ lives. – Kevin Nelis, Foundation Board Member
“I share my time and talents with CCF as the financial stability of the school and parishes is important to me. As long-time parishioners with children as graduates of the school, we love this community of faith. I am so grateful to those who have come before us that built these parishes and our school, and feel called to preserve them for future families to grow in Christ’s love.” – Foundation Volunteer
